Apple Security Issue - March 2018

Recently Apple has implemented stricter security protocols which have affected the SSL warnings. NetBox's default mail URL - - is an alias for a mail host serving a large number of domains. The certificate for the SSL system covers only the top level domain on the mail server. This results in name mismatch between the NetBox mail URL and that of the certificat on the mail server. The result is exception warnings by browser and email programs. While the name mismatch does not actually affect the security of the connection, it can indicate that a connection may not be what it advertises.
The work around is to configure your mailer or browser to use the URI of the mail server itself. In the case of the NetBox reference, the certified server is "" with the same login credential (your email address and password). This should allow your mail application to connect without warings.
