Using your email program and NetBox' email to fax and email to U. S. Post, you can include almost everyone you know in your electronic communications. All your correspondents need is a mailbox.

EMail to Fax Service

NetBox has combined the convenience of email with a cost effective fax service which can deliver messages worldwide. For as little as 12 cents per minute you can send the same email message going to all your on-line friends to your friends without computers. All they need is a fax machine.

There are some limitations to the technology, however. Current technology is reliable for faxes sent to fax machines. A fax sent to a fax/modem card on a computer is much less reliable and can cause a transmission rate of about 70% [meaning that 30% of the tries may not go through with this type of connection].

Faxes will be charged against this deposit as they are incurred.
You will receive a warning when your balance falls below US$10, at which time you will need to refresh your deposit.

At this time we do not offer trials except to our paid up NetBox users. To use the NetBox email to fax service you must have a NetBox account. This permits our database to deal with the pre-purchased stamps.

In the near future we will put up a service which allows non NetBox clients to use this service by entry of a credit card through our secure server.

EMail to Post Service

NetBox' Email to US Post service works much the same as way our Email to Fax service. You prepare your letter in your mailer, send it to your NetBox with additional instructions in the body of the message, and NetBox will redirect it to the U.S. mail. Once you have registered for the service, you can also send postal messages from the NetBox Customer's section of the NetBox web site.

One difference between our fax and post services is the need to use a template for Email to Post. This template, which is available from an auto responder, contains fields for addresses to ensure proper placement on the letter. When the message reaches the NetBox server, the server extracts the to and from addresses, prints the message in 10 point Times-Roman font on a standard letter size [8.5" x 11"] page which is then inserted into a #10 double glassine envelope [larger envelopes will be used for larger documents]. Proper first class postage is affixed to the envelope which is then handed over to the U.S. Postal Service.

You will recieve a note confirming your message has been mailed. Unless you chose return receipt service, no other notification will be sent. For our standard service, this is the extent of the liability of NetBox Inc. We do not supply proof of nor can we guarantee delivery by the U.S. Postal Service. Return receipts are available through our special handling services at additional cost.

Documents will be mailed as received. At this time we can accept ASCII or ISO/Latin1 text only - at this time we cannot handle word processor files or graphics. Text will be printed in 10 point times roman font on U.S. standard letter paper [8.5" x 11"].
